Dr. Jennifer Lewis, AVP, Diversity & Development, Church Pension Group
Dr. Jennifer D. Lewis is a leadership and organizational development professional with over 25 years’ experience in Human Resources. She specializes in organizational development and diversity & inclusion. She has been responsible for leading diversity and inclusion strategies, employee engagement initiatives, and talent development programs. Additionally, she has led corporate training, facilitated a variety of corporate workshops, and taught undergraduate and graduate level courses as an adjunct professor online and in the classroom. Dr. Lewis currently serves as the head of diversity and inclusion at The Church Pension Group (CPG), a financial services, insurance, and publishing firm. In her 15 year tenure she has significantly moved the needle in supporting CPG in its goal to be a healthier organization by focusing on a robust D&I strategy. Notable successes include the development of a diversity council, launch of affinity groups (ERGs), and spearheading numerous employee engagement initiatives. In addition, she has created and managed a number of leadership programs that focused on the development and mobility of high potential employees. Her strategic focus has promoted and supported a diverse and inclusive culture that values and embraces learning and leadership development. This has resulted in measurable accomplishments, notably that CPG is now more demographically diverse, there is increased diversity in senior leadership, and increasingly CPG is seen as an employer of choice. Dr. Lewis holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and the designation of Certified Diversity Executive.
